Course Overview
Strength and Conditioning has become something of a buzz word in the fitness industry over the last 10 years as professional sport becomes more and more cognisant of the values of Sports Science and Strength and Conditioning in improving performance throughout all facets of sport. This once very private secretive industry now takes pride and place in the mainstream. Improving performance in sport and achieving the goals of an avid gym goer are much the same ambition and understanding the principles of S & C will allow you to be able to succeed in both and add huge value to your business.
This 16 Hour CPD is delivered by some of the UK’s leading Strength and Conditioning Coaches and is tailored towards being applicable to mainstream fitness professionals looking to enhance performance of all clients, both regular gym goers and those looking to improve athletic performance.
Course Content
- Science and Foundations of S & C
- Essentials of S & C Testing and Data Interpretation
- Basic to Advanced Strength Training
- Basic to Advanced Power Training
- Essentials in Olympic Lifting Training and Coaching Science
Entry Requirements/Pre Requisites
Due to the advanced content on the course, candidates must hold a Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training or UK recognised equivalent. It is imperative that candidates have an understanding of training principles and have experience working with clients both delivering and programming training sessions.
Course Structure
This 16 Hour CPD is delivered over 2 consecutive days, each consisting of 8 hours of scientific rationale and practical teaching of Strength and Conditioning Principles. The course is largely practical and candidates should be prepared to partake in practical work each day.
